The 15th Headies Awards which was held on September 4th saw major and upcoming acts from Nigeria and Africa clinch various awards. The event aired live from the COBB Energy Performing Arts Center in Atlanta and was hosted by American actor and comedian, Anthony Anderson and Nollywood star actress Osas Ighodaro.
The Headies is one of the most anticipated music awards shows in Nigeria that celebrates the best talents in music. This year, Grammy winners, Burna Boy, Wizkid, Tems, Adekunle Gold, BNXN, Waje, Oxlade, Gyakie, Olamide, and Davido received gold statues for their performances in music.
Wizkid won awards for Best Collaboration, Song of the Year, and Best R&B Single. BNXN, popular as Buju, won the Next Rated Award, while Ayra Starr won the Viewers Choice Award.
