Igboho, who was arrested on July 19, 2021, was released on Monday, March 7, 2022.

According to reports, he was released to Yoruba Nation arrowhead and leader of the Umbrella body of Yoruba Self-determination Groups, Ilana Omo Oodua Worldwide, Banji Akintoye.

It would be recalled that the Department of State Services (DSS) had declared Igboho wanted after its operatives carried out a midnight raid on his residence in the Soka area of Ibadan, Oyo State, in July 2021.

He had escaped to Benin Republic, where he tired to board a Germany-bound flight, but was unlucky as he was apprehended by security operatives in the West African country.
