Tems was one of the top winners at this year’s BMI London Awards. Superstars like, Wizkid, Ckay, Joeboy, Tempoe, P2J, and Kwame Eugene also won awards at the recently concluded event.
Tempoe, Joeboy, and Kwame Eugene won the BMI award for their contributions to CKay’s “Love Nwantiti,” while P2J won an award for his contribution to Wizkid and Tems’ “Essence.”
Tems received the Impact Award for “her groundbreaking artistry, creative vision, and impact on the future of music.” This year, Tems thrilled fans with her record-breaking work on Wizkid’s “Essence,” Drake‘s “Fountain,” Future‘s “Wait For U,” “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever“, and Beyonce‘s “Move.”
The BMI Impact Award is given to a songwriter, producer, or composer with a creative vision and unique artistry.
The event was hosted by BMI president, chief executive Mike O’Neill, and BMI Europe vice president of creative Shirin Foroutan.
