Abductors in Taraba State have failed to release a pregnant woman who fell into labour while in captivity. They have demanded ransom from her family which they expect them to pay immediately.

The gunmen abducted the heavily pregnant woman and six others including one Sharabilu Maaji Bala, in Jalingo.

The abductors were siad to have stormed the Primary Board Area in Jalingo at 3 am on Saturday 16th of April and took the victims.

This was quite unfortunate as the pregnant woman who is  based in Kano State was said to have visited her parents for maternity leave.

The kidnappers however called the father of the abducted pregnant woman, demanding that ransome be paid immediately, with information that the woman is now in labour.

DSP Usman Abdullahi, the spokesperson of the State Police Command, confirmed the abduction of the pregnant woman and six others but did not give further details.

Sadly, a Facebook user, identified as Abba Gana shared a photo of his sister who was among those kidnapped.

We wish them well.
