Sophia Momodu apologises for "insensitive" birthday post to Davido

Davido’s first baby mama Sophia Momodu has apologized for the singer’s birthday post she made via her daughter Imade Adeleke.

On November 21, while sending birthday greetings to her daughter’s father, Momodu shared a photo of the singer with his children including his deceased son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

However, the photo didn’t go down well with many social media users who chastised her for choosing that particular picture which had the singer’s late son.

Others blasted her for even making a birthday post to the singer, especially as she didn’t celebrate the late Ifeanyi on his birthday or posted to mourn his passing.

Amid the call out and slams by social media users for the said birthday post, the mother of one apologized noting she never intended to make an insensitive post.

“Imade deeply loves her father and all her siblings, and as a mother, I’m doing my best to guide her through the difficult emotion of grief from the loss of her brother whilst trying to celebrate her father’s birthday.

“I ask for your consideration and hope that you all can be understanding during these times.”
