Every Friday, music fans are met with a wave of new music. When the clock strikes midnight, streaming services and digital retailers refresh their catalogs and countless new albums and singles become available all at once. Friday has over time become the set date for the release of new music, this could be attributed to a number of reasons, but let that be that for now. We’ve laid down new Nigerian music releases that dropped today, Friday 14th, 2020. Enjoy.
1) Dj Tunez ft Wizkid, Omah Lay, Adekunle (Ag baby) Gold
Dj Tunez finally hits us with his anticipated single, ”Pami”. He teams up with buzzing act Omah Lay, his frequent collaborator, Wizkid, and the man who is sweeping everybody off with his impressive genre crossover, Adekunle Gold. The song is less than four minutes long, with all featured acts undoubtedly doing justice with their verse. A worthy checkout
2)Burna Boy – Twice As Tall ( Album)
African Giant comes through with his fifth studio album, ”Twice as Tall”. Following the success of his previous albums, Burna Boy announced he was following up his grammy-nominated critically acclaimed body of work,” African Giant” with a new body of work in July. However, that date didn’t see the light of the day, nonetheless, he announced August 14th as the new date. The album was executively produced by veteran USA rapper and business mogul, Pdiddy. Laced with 15 tracks the LP features acts such as, veteran Senegalese artist, Youssou N’dour; British rapper, Stormzy; USA hip hop trio, Naughty by nature; Coldplay band member, Chris Martin, and Kenyan music group, Sauti sol. The production on the project is also incredible with production credits from long time collaborator, Leriq, and a number of other producers. It’s definitely a worthy listen. Enjoy
4) Terry Apala, Major Bangz – Major Vibes EP
Known for his unique akpala hip hop sound, Terry Akpala teams up with ace producer, Major Bangz to deliver a six-track EP. The Ep is 18 minutes long with diverse sounds. The Ep is the 32 years old first body of work after tons of released singles in the past. All singles were produced by Major Bangz
5)Darey – Jah Guide Me
Veteran R&B act, Darey makes his way back into the music scene with this track. Known for delivering numerous amazing r&b sounds in the past, Darey’s announcement of a new single was welcomed with elation from music enthusiasts following his music hiatus. The song is definitely one to check out.
5) Lyta -Hold me down( Omo Gidi)
Latest Marlian Records signee, Lyta officially dropped his first single with the label outfit. ”Hold me down” is a three minutes track, with the ex Ybnl Doing justice to the song with his unique vocals. Definitely, a worthy check out.
