Former Vice President of Nigeria, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has confirmed that his son has tested positive to the deadly coronavirus plaguing the globe recently.
Atiku made this known via his Twitter page on Sunday, March 22, 2020.He tweeted ”My son has tested positive to coronavirus. @NCDCGov has been duly informed, and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management. I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, coronavirus is real.”
It is however not yet clear whether his case is one of the previously announced cases that was made by the Nigerian Centre for disease control (NCDC) or a fresh case, as the center is yet to confirm a new case following the tweet.
