Samaritan is an upcoming American superhero film directed by Julius Avery, written by Bragi F. Schut, and starring Sylvester Stallone in the title role, Javon Walton, Pilou Asbæk, Dascha Polanco, and Moises Arias. Described as a dark, new take on superhero movies, the story was previously adapted into the Mythos Comics graphic novels by Schut, Marc Olivent, and Renzo Podesta. It is a co-production of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer and Balboa Productions. Samaritan is scheduled to be released on August 26, 2022, by United Artists Releasing and Amazon Studios via streaming on Prime Video.

The Woman King is an upcoming American historical epic film about the Agojie, the all-female warrior unit who protected the African kingdom of Dahomey in the 19th century. The film stars Viola Davis as a general who trains the next generation of warriors to fight their enemies. It is directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood and written by Dana Stevens based on a story by Maria Bello and Stevens. In addition to Davis, the film also stars Thuso Mbedu, Lashana Lynch, Sheila Atim, Hero Fiennes Tiffin, and John Boyega. The film is set to premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September 2022, and will be theatrically released in the United States on September 16, 2022, by Sony Pictures Releasing.
John Wick 4 is an upcoming American neo-noir action thriller film which is serving as the direct sequel to 2019’s John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, as well as the fourth installment in the John Wick film series. Directed by Chad Stahelski, with a script co-written by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch, and based on characters created by Derek Kolstad, it is produced by Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee. Starring Keanu Reeves returning as the title character, the film is produced by Thunder Road Pictures and 87North Productions. Distributed by Lionsgate, the film is set to be theatrically released in the United States on March 24, 2023. Originally set for release on May 21, 2021, the film was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and partially due to Reeves’ commitments with The Matrix Resurrections.

It is the sequel to Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018) and is the seventh installment in the Mission: Impossible film series. The film stars Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Henry Czerny, and Cary Elwes. It is scheduled for release in the United States on July 14, 2023, by Paramount Pictures. The sequel, Dead Reckoning Part Two, is to be released on June 28, 2024.
