Eight new cases of the novel coronavirus has been confirmed by the NCDC bringing the number of cases in the country to 89.

Seven of the new cases are in Lagos while one is in Benue.Of the 89 confirmed cases, Lagos has 59, the federal capital territory (FCT) 14, Ogun three and Oyo three. Edo, Bauchi and Enugu states have two cases each. Ekiti, Osun, Rivers and Benue state have one case each.
Suleiman Achimugu, former managing director of the Petroleum Products Marketing Company (PPMC), is Nigeria’s only casualty of the disease so far.
He died on Monday after returning to the country from the UK. Three patients have recovered and have been discharged from hospital.
