The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, via its social media handle, has denied allegations linking its operatives to “stop and search” operations in Lekki, Lagos.
People had been circulating news on social media that the commission was conducting such an operation in Lekki. This made them receive a backlash from the public. Following this, they posted on their page to debunk the rumour.
They wrote, “Members of the public are enjoined to to ignore such insinuations…”
