Relationship expert Blessing Okoro popular as Blessing CEO has been granted bail in the sum of N1o million.
Blessing was earlier arrested on allegations of cyber bullying by the family of late wife of Ikechukwu Ogbonna (IVD) who had been remanded in Kirikiri correctional center over allegations of involuntary manslaughter of his wife Bimbo Martins.
She was arraigned by the police before Justice Yelim Bogoro of the Federal High Court on the 31st of March on six counts bordering on alleged cyber-bullying, libel and exhibiting uncensored movies.
Prosecution counsel Rotshang Faith Dimka of the Force Headquarters, Abuja, said Okoro of Lekki, Lagos, on October 16, 2022, “intentionally sent messages using her Instagram handle officialblessingceo to bully, threaten and harass one Folashade Samuels, a.k.a Mamajazz, a younger sister to the late Bimbo Ogbonna.
In addition, Blessing CEO was accused of using her Instagram handle, officialblessingceo, to harm the reputation of Folashade Samuels and the late Bimbo Ogbonna by subjecting them to hatred, disdain, and môckery.
The police also said that she exhibited a film and video work titled “Sweet Sour” without obtaining a censorship certificate or holding a license issued by the National Film & Video Censors Board (NFVCB).
She pleaded not guilty.
Following her not-guilty plea, she was then remanded a the Nigerian correctional services (NCos) until May 30 for hearing of her bail application.
On Tuesday, 4th of April, her counsel filed a bail application before Justice Tijjani Ringim of the Federal High Court of Lagos on her behalf.
The judge granted Okoro bail in the absence of opposition.
Her bail is set at N10 million with provision of two sureties each in like sum.
