ASAP Rocky Released, Previously Arrested In Connection With A November 2021 Shooting

ASAP Rocky was arrested in LAX in connection with a shooting which occurred in November 2021.

American rapper ASAP Rocky has been released from jail following his arrest by the Los Angeles Police Department at LAX airport.
The Department announced his arrest via a tweet on Wednesday, April 20.

“33-year-old Rakim Mayers, a Los Angeles resident, also known as music artist A$AP Rocky, has been arrested in connection to a shooting that occurred in the Hollywood area in November of 2021,” the tweet read

However, Rocky was released same Wednesday, on a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon, related to an incident that took place in November 2021. His release came after posting USD a 550,000 bail bond.

This was confirmed by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Meanwhile, a court date has been set for Rocky on August 17 at the LAX Superior Courthouse.

Reports have it that the LAPD carried out a search warrant of the rapper’s Los Angeles home following his arrest.

Rocky recently took a trip to Barbados with Rihanna, amid rumours of a shaky relationship after the spread of a cheating scandal.

The couple have however, discarded the rumour, and put all to rest as they stepped out for a date night in Barbados.

In her recent interview with Vogue, Rihanna opened up on their relationship and said that they grew closer during the pandemic.

Rihanna is currently expecting her first child with Rocky. The singer confirmed that she’s already in her third trimester. The couple earlier announced their pregnancy in January.
