MTN Foundation calls for passionate and committed Nigerian female entrepreneurs keen on growing their businesses, to join its MTN Yellopreneur initiative.

The MTN Yellopreneur is an initiative of the MTN Foundation that aims to provide capacity-building and funding opportunities to Nigerian female entrepreneurs in collaboration with the Bank of Industry (BOI). This solution started from the need to reduce unemployment among Nigerian women and contribute to advancing women’s development in entrepreneurship.

The MTN Foundation was set up by MTN Nigeria communications plc in 2004 to manage its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Since May 2005 when it was commissioned, MTN Nigeria Communications has contributed up to 1% of its profit after Tax as major funding to the foundation. The foundation has used this to reach over 2000 communities and has had about 927 project sites across Nigeria.

Eligibility

Participants must:

(1) Be a Nigerian female entrepreneur

(2) Have a minimum of a senior secondary school certificate

(3) Be passionate and committed to self-employment

(4) Run an existing business of two years and above in manufacturing, processing, agriculture, ICT/digital services, financial services, and others

  • Opportunity to qualify for an equipment loan/grant up to 2 million naira.
