We’ve got the female acts headlining today’s edition, as songstresses ,Tems and Simi, releases the lead single for their upcoming album. Tems-Damages
Rising songstress, Tems, released the first single off her debut body of work, ’For Broken Ears’, dropping on the 25th of September.
The alt-r&b budding act announced the coming of the project on her social media pages a couple of days back, noting the release of the first track. The album is laced with seven tracks, with ‘Damages’ as the lead single.
Simi – No longer Beneficial
Following the success of her debut track of the year, Duduke’ and her stellar hook on the Poe assisted ‘Know You’, Simi has made her way back into the studio to release the lead single ‘No longer Beneficial’ for her upcoming fourth studio album.The mother of one has surely been having an eventful year, from seeing her song top charts to signing a new distribution deal and also welcoming a newborn child with hubby, Adekunle Gold. Simi, 32years, days back took to her social media pages to announce the coming of her studio album titled ‘RestlessII’.
Wizkid – No stress
After brewing so much anticipation over the years,for the release of his fourth studio album,Made in Lagos , we finally have an authentic date for the album release. The afrobeats superstar on Wednesday 16th took to his social media pages to announce the release of the second single, ‘Stress’, off the highly anticipated project. The song was released on Thursday 17th , the date for the album release has now been reflected on music streaming services, such as Apple Music, Spotify, and the likes. Fans have been buzzing with elation following this new development. ‘No stress’ is the typical wizkid feel-good song with a stunning instrumental.
Stormrex – Angolo
Igbo Queen of New School music , Stormrex is back, after almost a 4 years break. Stormrex serves us with this amazing single she titles Angolo. Produced by french duo “Contre-temps,” Angolo is a hiplife urban sound, with a touch of house/techno.
TClassic – Alirat (EP)
Rising act, Tolulope Ajayi, popularly known as T-Classic has dropped his second EP this year, “Alirat” dedicated to a dearly departed mother. The EP features relatively young producers such as Reward Beatz, Yalababayala, and godOmarr.“Alirat” is a four-track E.P. that includes songs such as “La Cream“, “Hold On“, “Pour Me Water (PMW)“, and “Love You For Life“. T-Classic is currently working on the visuals for two tracks in the extended playlist — “Hold On” and “Pour Me Water”.
