Buhari chief of staff tests positive to coronavirus.

The chief of staff of the president of Nigeria Abba Kyari has been reported to have tested positive for coronavirus.

Kyari recently returned from Germany, a high-risk country where he went to a function hosted by the multinational conglomerate company, Siemens. According to multiple media reports, Kyari took the test based on medical advice as he wasn’t exhibiting any symptoms. He was said to have attended meetings with the president.

President Muhammadu Buhari has however been tested negative for coronavirus (COVID-19) following media reports that his chief of staff, Abba Kyari, has tested positive. The presidency is yet to issue a statement on Kyari’s status, but the NCDC announced a new case in the FCT late on Monday, March 23.

As of Tuesday, March 24th has recorded 42 positive cases in six states – Lagos (29), FCT (7), Ogun (3), Ekiti (1), Oyo (1), and Edo (1).
