The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has denied knowing former Big Brother Naija Season 7 housemate, Beauty Tukura. NBA said she is not a member of the body of lawyers.
The first Vice President of the NBA, John Aikpokpo-Martins, issued a statement on Monday, saying the attention of the association and its members were drawn to reports about the former Miss Nigeria.
Aikpokpo-Martins noted that the ex-housemate “got ignominiously disqualified from the on-going Big Brother Naija reality show ‘for throwing her wig and glasses at’ a co-participant”.
The VP said linking Beauty to the NBA was “embarrassing to most members of the legal profession and may bring the profession into disrepute if found to be true”.
Aikpokpo-Martins said the databases of Legal Practitioners kept in the Supreme Court and the NBA did not show Beauty Tukura as a member.

“I hereby appeal to anyone who may be aware of her true name assuming we may have gotten her real name wrong to reach out to me,” he added.
On Sunday, Beauty was disqualified from the BBNaija show after receiving three strikes in less than two weeks.
