Expect to See Kehinde Bankole on Disney’s ‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire’

Nollywood actress, Kehinde Bankole will join the cast of the new Disney+ animated series ‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire.’

Disney+ announced details of the anticipated 10-part Original anthology series on 15th June, at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival. The streamer confirmed that Kehinde Bankole will join actress Florence Kasumba and South African rapper Nasty C as part of the film’s cast members.

‘Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire’ was created by animators from Nigeria, Zimbabwe, Uganda, South Africa, Kenya and Egypt. Each film is expected to last for 10 minutes. It will showcase some of the uniqueness of Africa and will centre around themes on technological advancement, aliens, spirits and monsters.

The Disney+ Original  has Academy award-winning Director Peter Ramsey as Executive Producer and Tendayi Nyeke & Anthony Silverston as supervising producers.

Creators of the film include Shofela Coker (Nigeria), Ahmed Teilab (Egypt), Simangaliso ‘Panda’ Sibaya and Malcolm Wope (South Africa), Terence Maluleke and Isaac Mogajane (South Africa), Ng’endo Mukii (Kenya), Nthato Mokgata and Terence Neale (South Africa), Pious Nyenyewa and Tafadzwa Hove (Zimbabwe), Tshepo Moche (South Africa), Raymond Malinga (Uganda) and Lesego Vorster (South Africa).

Kehinde Bankole made her entertainment debut in the 2003 Miss Commonwealth Nigeria beauty contest, and proceeded to the 2004 Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant (MBGN). She made her acting debut during her time as Lux ambassador in the family drama Super story: Everything it Takes, playing the character Caro. She has also featured in other Wale Adenuga’s productions like Papa Ajasco and This Life. On television, Kehinde’s most notable role is as housewife Kiki Obi in Desperate Housewives Africa, the Nigerian remake of the American hit series.

Kehinde won the Revelation of the Year award at the 2009 Best of Nollywood Awards, two years after her first screen appearance in Wale Adenuga’s Super story.
