25-year-old Muima is set to walk down the aisle with his 85-year-old lover, Thereza. Muima said he is impressed by the way she treats him which made him head over heels with her.
His decision to marry her has sparked reactions from Internet users. The old woman, who has 8 children and 20 grandchildren owns the apartment where Muima and his friend lives.
Muima disclosed that he met his old lover when he was searching for an apartment to rent while he was studying. He and his colleagues saw Thereza’s house in Kenya, paid the rent and moved in. Shortly after, they became friends and she jokingly started calling him her husband, which he initially took lightly. With time, they both started falling in love.
According to Muima, ”The way she behaved and treated (me) pushed me to love her and though she is an old woman and in reality, she could be my grandmother but I love her. “He recounted a day his colleague was away and he was hungry without food in his house. The kind old woman brought him some food and served him with so much care before asking for a kiss, which he obliged.
They soon got used to each other and started spending time playing, lifting one another and travelling despite Thereza’s age. ”This is my choice. This is my happiness, as anyone else has theirs. Thereza also commented that she has grandchildren who are older than Muima, but she is not ashamed of being in a relationship with him. “I have eight children and 20 grandchildren.

I am ready to put on the wedding dress and ring. “Muima is set to pay the bride price demanded by his lover’s children which includes 12 cows amongst other things. The 25-year-old has found love after being in several dramatic relationships, which he claimed were draining.

Thereza on the other hand is hopeful and open to raising a family with her young boyfriend. She said that old women in the Bible who gave birth has given her hope.
